Your story deserves a refresh. Let's write it together.

(Here's a handy time-converter if you need it!)
What’s Included:
Day 1 Opener: Killing Your (Writing Process) Darlings.
Before you can move forward, you have to let go of what's weighing you down. This mini-workshop is designed to help you identify and release the beliefs, habits, and fears that have been keeping you and your manuscript stuck.
Day 2 Opener: Cutting to the Core of Your Story.
Knowing how to articulate your story—to others and to yourself—is one of the most powerful tools a writer can have. This mini-workshop helps you find the words to describe your manuscript with clarity and confidence, so you can step into your writing day feeling grounded and ready.
Day Two Gamified Inspiration: Story Seed.
This interactive story building workshop is our writer's-block-busting secret weapon. Playful, creative, and surprisingly powerful, Story Seed helps you spark new ideas, find unexpected plot twists, and build worlds you never dreamed of.
Included on Day 1 & Day 2:
Silent Writing Sprints.
No pressure, no distractions, just you and your story. Our silent writing sprints give you dedicated, focused time to actually write, with the quiet accountability of a room full of writers doing the same.
Coaching Support.
Bring your questions, your sticking points, and your plot holes. Coaches Katherine Suzette and Sage Moreaux are available in breakout rooms to offer personalized editorial guidance, from brainstorming and drafting to revisions and everything in between.
Community Coffee Chats.
Writing can be lonely. These informal connection sessions give you the chance to meet your fellow retreat writers, share your story, and find your people. Because the right community can change everything.
Community. Coaching. Creative flow. All in one place.

Day 1:
We host a 3-hour session to get you and your manuscript prepared for the following day so that you won’t end up stuck in the weeds.
This includes 2 workshops from Sage and Katherine created to do two or more of the following: help you identify areas of your book to work on, create a clear plan for your writing the following day and beyond, find the heart of your story and really get to know your book, help yourself understand where the story starts and where it ends, and make friends with your inner critic.
You’ll have a chance to introduce yourself and your manuscript to fellow retreat attendees, as well as time to make an informed plan for the following day of writing, through guidance by our knowledgable book coaches.
Day 2:
This 6-hour day is full of inspiration, accountability, and most importantly, writing.
While your bum is not required to be in a seat, this is the day where we will help you kindle your motivational fire and stay obsessed with your story.
You’ll have access to book coaches with editorial expertise for all of your burning questions—from brainstorming plot hole fillers to implementing revisions—and for accountability should you want it.
We’ll also host a writer’s-block-busting game to spark your creativity! This has been helpful for reconnecting writers with their stories, figuring out a good plot twist, and developing a new character for readers to fall in love with.

Spring Forge: Mindful Murder
Mindful Murder: Spring Clean Your Story and Your Writing Process
A Half-Day, Live Writing Event
Spring cleaning isn't just for your home. Join the Book Dragons for Mindful Murder: a 3-hour live Zoom event designed to help you clear out what's not working in your manuscript and your writing process.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your story is let something go.
But how do you know what to cut and what to keep? How do you untangle a revision process that feels overwhelming, or find the beating heart of a story that's lost its way?
That's where Mindful Murder comes in.
This is not about scrapping everything and starting over. It's about evaluating your manuscript and your writing process with clarity, intention, and maybe just a little creative ruthlessness so you can move forward feeling lighter, sharper, and more connected to your story than ever.
On April 3rd join us for three hours of craft, community, and inspiration. Work alongside other writers as you spring clean your writing from the inside out.
All sessions are recorded.
These workshops are oriented toward those in the drafting and revisions stages, but anyone from “idea” to querying will learn something useful—read our incredible reviews!
Join Us:
April 3rd—9am to 12pm PT
Plus… After the workshop, keep the inspiration flowing with an (optional) invite to our online co-writing sessions: Write With Me, Zinzi Bree from 1–3pm PT
(Here's a handy time-converter if you need it!)
